What is DRM?
DRM stands for digital rights management and refers to technologies which e-book providers use to restrict what you can do with their content, such as copying, printing and downloading to e-readers. The providers we use that do not employ DRM have been marked as DRM-free in the FAQ What e-book providers does Library Services use?. Even though these providers do not use DRM, there are still limits to printing and downloading imposed by our licences and copyright laws.
For DRM-free e-books, you can print or save one chapter or 5% of an e-book, whichever is greater.
